It all started in April 2017.

Back then, DUDES vs. GRAVITY was just an Instagram account. No master plan. No business strategy. Just three guys obsessed with climbing and documenting it — climbing, skiing, and anything else where gravity tried to win.

Spoiler: we didn’t let it.

As we got a little older (not necessarily wiser), we decided to build our first real project — a climbing wall. Andraž had an empty attic. Which obviously meant: training cave. Jure designed it. We built it. We turned that dusty attic into our playground. And that attic quietly became the catalyst for everything that followed.

One day, while hanging out up there, we had what can only be described as a brilliant-stupid idea:

A floating climbing wall.

We live in Slovenia — small country, big mountains, and the beautiful Kolpa river. Naturally, our thought process was: “What if we build a deep water solo wall… on the river?”

Building a free-floating climbing wall is not exactly IKEA-level difficulty. But somehow, we pulled it off. We called it GRAVITY GODZILA (don’t ask why, we still don’t know).

Every year we host a competition there — a chaotic mix of DWS, bouldering, and speed climbing. It’s slightly insane. We love it.

After a few wild projects, we thought: “Okay… maybe let’s build something slightly more serious.” That’s when the idea for the GRAVITYboard PRO was born.

We loved training. We didn’t love how most hangboards looked like they belonged in a garage gym from 2006. So we asked ourselves: what if a hangboard could perform like the best on the market — but actually look good in your apartment?

That was the moment DUDES vs. GRAVITY officially became a company. We launched on Kickstarter. We were nervous. It exceeded our expectations. And just like that, DVG training gear was born.

From one hangboard, we expanded into:

• Fixed hangboards
• Portable hangboards
• Wooden climbing holds
• Volumes
• And projects we probably shouldn’t announce yet 👀

Everything we design follows a few rules: it has to be functional, it has to be beautiful, and it has to feel good to touch. Because training gear shouldn’t feel like punishment. It should feel like progress.

Climbing isn’t just a sport. It’s a lifestyle. It’s early morning sessions. It’s skin pain. It’s road trips. It’s chasing projects that scare you a little.

Our mission is simple: to design gear that elevates your climbing experience.

We build for climbers.

In Slovenia.

And we’re just getting started.
